With Walter Camp Award’s watch list release, I too am released. Released from the burden and drudgery of sharing these lists to the Forgotten 5 masses! At last, I am free! What shall I do with my new liberty? Write Latin poetry? Take up extreme mountain biking? Learn to play the Spanish guitar? Yeah, probably just watch some old Game of Thrones.
As usual, we concern ourselves only with the Forgotten. Thanks for understanding.
Walter Camp Award
The Walter Camp is presented to the nation’s most outstanding player, and honor the Walter Camp Foundation first awarded to the recently paroled master criminal OJ Simpson in 1967. The last outstanding player to Cap a Camp™ is Louisville’s Lamar Jackson. The last Forgotten? Welp, the G5 has yet to be outstanding enough to rate the notice of the WC Foundation.
Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
Quinton Flowers, QB, USF
Brett Rypien, QB, Boise State
Mike White, QB, Western Kentucky
Jarvion Franklin, RB, Western Michigan
Jalin Moore, RB, Appalachian State
Rashaad Penny, RB/KR, San Diego State
Wide Receivers/Special Teams/Lineman
Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
That’s it, folks.
If you’ve studied all the lists, you probably gleaned that Houston’s Ed Oliver has the best chance for picking up one of these great awards. Wyoming’s Josh Allen and USF’s Quinten Flowers are generating buzz, too. Let’s hope the Forgotten are remembered in December.
