Oregon State at Colorado State CBS Sports Network 1:30pm
Line is giving Oregon State around 4 points. This is CSU’s first game in their new on-campus stadium.
I think CSU’s offense will be powerful enough to put them over the 4 points needed to cover. Since 2013 CSU is 14-4 when they are a favorite home team, which tells me bettors have been undervaluing the Rams. Also, Oregon State is 5-8 ATS in non-conference games since 2013.
Colorado State (-4)
Hawaii at UMass No TV 5:00pm Central
Line has been hovering around even. As Vegas is predicting, I think this will be the best game for opening week.
I am going strictly on betting trends with pick. Hawaii wins tight spread games ATS on the road, and UMass losses tight spread games ATS at home. Plus I like the Rainbows QB.
Hawaii (Even)
Rice vs. Stanford (Sydney, AU) ESPN 9:00pm Central
Line is hovering around a 31 point favorite for Stanford. New Defense being installed at Rice after a dismal defensive season last year.
I could see Stanford putting up major points while allowing very few. I think Vegas is baiting bettors to choose Rice, and I’m not falling for it.
Stanford (-31)
Fresh Parlay:
USF (-20.5) – Under 68
My wife’s fantasy tip: Draft RB Powell of the Jets in a real late round or pick up off waivers. “Someone has to score points for that team, and he is a solid RB3 that might move into RB2”
