LA Chargers rookie kicker Younghoe Koo could not have had a rougher first two weeks in the NFL than he’s experienced. Week 1, he makes the game tying field goal only to have the Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph call a timeout at the last moment. His 2nd attempt was blocked and the Broncos ended up winning the 2nd game of the Monday Night Football doubleheader.
This Sunday was even rougher for Koo who went 1-3 and missed the potential game winner vs. the Miami Dolphins. All that good will he had developed during training camp has evaporated as the Chargers lost yet another tight game. If given the opportunity, he will settle down and make field goals. But it has to happen soon to stave off the doubters.
Aside from Koo, it was a pretty non-descript week. Antwione Williams made the practice squad in Minnesota. Matt Breida and Jerick McKinnon both had solid weeks.
