Welcome to Inside & Outside Army

Welcome to Inside & Outside Army, I am site manager Alex Funderburke. This is the new home for all Army Athletics news. We plan on covering all sports, recruiting for football, and much more. With that being said, we are still looking for writers; if you would like to write for us, email me a writing sample(alex.funderburke@gmail.com).
For those of you who have been following Forgotten 5, not much will change except this is where you go for Army related news and Forgotten 5 will be home to more of the big picture stuff.
The name “Inside & Outside Army” is a double entendre, one meaning comes from two of Army’s Heisman winners, Doc Blanchard (Mr. Inside) and Glenn Davis (Mr. Outside), who dominated the 1940’s leading Army to 25 straight wins and three National Championships in a row.
But it also represents that we will be giving you a view “inside” the athletic program and get the Cadet-Athlete, coach, and athletic staff perspectives as well as give you the “outside” fan point of view.
The logo draws inspiration from the shield in the USMA Crest and the swords at the bottom of the shield represent the sword in the Army Athletics logo.
Make sure you follow our twitter account (@InOutArmy) for even more Army news.
It is an exciting time at Forgotten 5, we are starting to expand and we are happy to have you along for the ride.
