South Carolina State

The Bulldogs went 3-7 last season and opened their 2018 campaign with a 37-6 loss to Georiga Southern. The Bulldogs had three quarterbacks play and combined they went 2/10 for 31 yards and one interception.
Their running game wasn’t much better, 42 carries for 120 yards(2.9 yards a carry). They couldn’t move the ball against the Eagles of Georiga Southern, they are most likely going to have the same fate against the Knights.
That 0.9% chance South Carolina State has to win this game comes from their defense, 8 of their 11 starters are upperclassman. Their secondary wasn’t tested last week because of GASO’s triple-option attack, it’ll be interesting to see how the secondary plays against Heisman candidate McKenzie Milton.

#19 UCF

The Knights offense didn’t miss a beat against UConn. Some were worried how they’d look without Scott Frost at the helm, but the Heupel offense looked even faster than Frost’s UCFast offense.
Milton impressed as expected, he threw for 346 yards, five touchdowns, and ran for 50 yards. His performance got him AAC offensive player of the week honors.

The offense as a whole put up 56 points, 652 total yards and most importantly, no turnovers.
The offensive attack from the Knights should see similar numbers against this South Carolina State defense.
The UCF defense looked ok, they weren’t outstanding but they weren’t terrible. They gave up 486 yards to the Huskies. That’s not ideal by any means, but if they only give up 17 points a game, no one will complain.
At times it looked like they couldn’t tackle, they need to wrap up ball carriers much better this week.
Look for the defense to have a field day against the Bulldogs offense, and who knows, maybe even pitch a shutout.

In their two prior meetings, the Bulldogs haven’t scored a single point against UCF. I think the Knights will make it a third straight shutout. Milton will add another five or six touchdowns and the longest win streak in college football will extend to 15 games.
South Carolina State 0- UCF 70
