#10 UCF Knights

It only took winning 18 games in a row to be ranked in the top ten…
UCF is ranked in the top ten during the regular season for the first time ever and Knights fans still feel slighted. I personally have them at 8th in my top 25, but if they keep winning, they will continue to climb.
UCF is coming off a big win over SMU, they didn’t impress anyone, but they didn’t disappoint either.
The offense still put up big numbers, 48 points, 541 total yards, but they still seemed bored at times.
Milton is still that dude, 278 yards and two touchdowns. Not his usual but good numbers nonetheless.
The defense has an extremely tough test this week. They have to slow down Memphis running back Darnell Henderson. I’ll break down his numbers in the Memphis portion of the preview.
The Knights offense shouldn’t have a problem scoring in this one, not that Memphis’ defense is terrible, they just have too many weapons to spread the ball around to.

Memphis Tigers

The Tigers offense puts up crazy numbers just like UCF does. With that being said though, they were slowed down by both Navy and Tulane, two average defenses.
Their running back Darnell Henderson is an absolute beast; through six games he has 934 yards. I would like to remind people that he only had 51 yards against Tulane, 47 of which came on one play. Imagine if he hit his average of 155.67.
Having this guy in the backfield makes QB Brady White look really good. On the season he has 1549 yards, 15 touchdowns, and only one interception.
It will be really interesting to see how the Knights defense does against these two. They have been close to elite so far, this is by far their biggest test yet.
Defensively the Tigers have been average, ranking 83rd in defensive S&P+. They give up 24.5 points per game which isn’t a problem when your offense is dropping 46.2 points. But this could be a problem when going up against the 4th highest scoring offense in the country.

I think this will be close in the first half, maybe something like 35-21 UCF. After that UCF is going to turn it on and cruise to a big win. Milton will get five touchdowns and throw for 370+ and both the offense and defense will put on a show in the second half.
