The Army offense came out and started slow and it didn’t look good. On a third down, Kelvin Hopkins ran and took a huge hit on the leg and he went down. It took a lot of help for him to get off the field, I honestly thought he broke his leg.
SJSU kicked a field goal on the ensuing drive, they picked apart the Army defense.
It felt like if Kelvin wasn’t going to come back in, SJSU would win the game; but Kelvin came back and looked like himself again. He led the Black Knights down the field and hit Jordan Asberry for a 41-yard touchdown pass.
After that opening drive from SJSU, the Army defense woke up and slowed them down for the rest of the first half.
Kelvin Hopkins punched a touchdown in from one yard out to end the half to go into the locker room up 14-3.

The Army offense opened the first half with a touchdown and after that the defense put on a show.
San Jose State’s first four possessions of the second half:
1 Play: strip sack, leads to Army field goal
1 Play: strip sack, leads to Army touchdown
3 Plays: fumble, leads to Army touchdown
5 Plays: fumble returned for Army touchdown.
After these possessions the game was over. Army was up 45-3. The Black Knights completely dominated all facects of the game.
After an SJSU punt Army swapped Kelvin Hopkins for both Luke Lagdon and Cam Thomas, each two plays they swapped.
Cam Thomas capped off the drive with a 28 yard touchdown run to give Army 52.
That would be the final score as Army would run out the clock after another SJSU punt.
Army has put up 40+ points in back to back games, WHO SAID TRIPLE OPTION ISN’T FUN????
Army is back at home next week against Miami (OH).
