Coming off their greatest season in modern history, Army football is looking to make even more history in 2019.
The Black Knights announced that Cole Christiansen, Kelvin Hopkins, and Elijah Riley will lead the team as captains this coming season.
This is an honor that was voted on by their fellow teammates.
The leader of the linebackers, Christiansen was a captain last year and will return to the role after a 77 tackle season.
Kelvin Hopkins became the first ever Black Knight to have 1,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in the same season and tied the single-season rushing touchdown record with 17.
Elijah Riley stepped up into a leadership role last season while leading the DB’s. He was third on the team with 55 tackles. He had 10 pass breakups as well.
