Army Golf Wins Patriot League Championship After Big Final Day

 

Round one of the Patriot League Tournament was completed yesterday but round two was suspended due to unsafe playing conditions. The Black Knights ended the day sitting in third place at +12. Bucknell and Lafayette were tied for the lead at +11.
Nick Turner had a solid second round, shooting three under, which was good enough for second on the player leaderboard.

 
The second round concluded with Army shooting three under on the round. That was good enough to put them in second place at +11, one shot behind Bucknell at +10.
Army was on fire to start the final round shooting six under (+5 overall) to take a three-stroke lead over Bucknell.
One the back nine, Army just had to hold on to the lead. They shot four under and finished the day ten under (+1 overall) to win in a landslide. Lafayette finished second at +9. This is the Black Knights 12th Patriot League title.

The Black Knights will learn where they will be going for the NCAA Tournament on May 1st at 9 p.m. est. You can watch it on the Golf Channel or stream it on the Golf Channel’s website.
