“Come see us play”
That is what Jon Rosoff said when I asked him what he had to say to people who don’t think that Military Academy athletes should be able to play professional sports.
I had the privilege of sitting down with the former Army catcher to do an interview to talk about his baseball career and Military Academy athletes playing professional sports.
Rosoff was a stud at West Point, winning Patriot League Player Of The Year in 2018 and leading the Army team to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013, he even led them to a win against regional host NC State and homered against #1 overall draft pick, Auburn pitcher Casey Mize. Both Mize and Rosoff were picked up by the Detroit Tigers organization
Jon Rosoff made his debut with Advanced-A affiliate, the Lakeland Flying Tigers on May 7th, 2019. As of the time of me writing this Rosoff is hitting .300 with two triples.
I would like to thank Jon again for sitting down with me. Everyone at IOA wishes him nothing but the best as he continues his quest of making the U.S. Olympic team (you have to watch the interview to figure how he is doing that) and making it to the MLB.
