The Keydets are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and Saturday will more than likely make it a fourth straight loss.
I’ll give them credit, I didn’t see them winning four games this year. Led by QB Reece Udinski, their offense has been pretty good. They average 33.3 points per game.
Where they struggle mightly is on the defensive side of the ball. They give up 41.6 points per game.
Reece Udinski is one of the best QB’s at the FCS level, I’m interested to see how he fairs against Elijah Riley.
Army got a much-needed blowout win last week against UMass. They’ll get another one this week.
I want to see Christian Anderson get some snaps this week. He should be able to take over for the entire second half and still win comfortably. He should get some snaps because Kelvin Hopkins and Jabari Laws have both been banged up and in a worst-case scenario against Hawaii or Navy, he’d be the guy to come in and win Army the game.
Also: #GTHWYGKWTB aka Good Things Happen When You Give Kell Walker The Ball. Walker had 60 yards on seven carries last week. Expect another big game.
The defense looked good. They got fooled once on a trick play but outside of that, they dominated only giving up 125 yards, 56 of which came on the trick play.
The DB’s will be facing a good QB in Udinski, it will be interesting to see if they turn their heads around to make a play on the ball or if they’ll continue to watch WR’s catch the ball.
For the second straight week, two words: Army big.
